Ari Birgisson grandit à Reykjavik, entre l’enregistreur à bandes du père, un piano droit transgénérationnel, et un ami batteur, Sigvald Hansen. Ils enregistrent au format cassette leurs premières démos dans le salon familial. Afin de réaliser un morceau pour la compilation du label 3 To The Third Music, Dr Olive met Ari en contact avec Enzo Clark, du studio-label indé The Queen Is Dead Records, avec qui il sent une potentielle affinité artistique. Bingo !

Ari Birgisson grows up in Reykjavik, between the paternal tape recorder, a transgenerational upright piano, and a friend who plays the drums, Sigvald Hansen. They record their first demos on tape in the family living room. So as to produce some music for 3 to the Third Music’s compilation, Dr Olive introduces Ari to Enzo Clark from the indie label-studio The Queen Is Dead Record, with whom he feels a potential artistic kinship. Bingo!
